Description
We start at the Rotonde with it’s elegant fountain, then we visit the 400 m long splendid Cours Mirabeau boulevard, and then take a loop into the Mazarin quarter with its magnificent city villas and the fortified Church “Saint Jean de Malte” as well as the Musée Granet.
This is where Paul Cezanne took his first drawing lessons. We continue past Cezanne’s birthplace in the direction of the medieval old town with it’s town hall. Here we find the famous Provençal market at the “Place Richelme”.
Excavations from the last few years show parts of ancient Roman buildings.
Let yourself be captured by the special flair of this “capital of Provence”.
Meeting location: Infront of the „Office de Tourisme“ at Place du General de Gaulle
Potential obstacles: Narrow paths, cobblestone streets
